Mat 'Inksaint' Masoni came to me to help him expose his art on the world wide web. A portfolio to include Paintings, Prints, Graphic Art and freebies for all visitors.

I sat down with Mat and we scoured the net for numerous artist's portfolio websites to gain a feel of how best to present his artwork. In the end we decided that showing hi-res photos at a good size on the main page and allowing the visitor to scroll horizontally through them while giving the ability to select a photo to see an even bigger version and some details.

I used a very simple authentication and authorization setup and Paperclip to handle the images. All images are uploaded to Amazon's S3 service so that the main bandwidth and space is lifted from the host server.
